Default On tracked changes - Word merges multiple authors into one "author" when the document is sent to me

Hi

Re tracked changes - when a document with multiple authors is sent to me, even from inside my company, all the authors combine into one author and I only get one set of colours. This is not only due to viewing preferences, but the authors' names actually all change to the single "author".

I need a way to stop this from happening everytime I get a multi-authored document sent to me.

Thanks.
