I am having an issue with cross-referencing figures in my text. I am only running into this issue with a few figures, not all of them.
I am copying and pasting figures and text from one document to another and then for the Figure Captions I am using a personalize style called Caption_Figure (basically bolds the font and centers it) All the Figure's are captioned in word as Figure X-X. When I go to cross-reference the figure caption in the text, most of the cross-references work fine, but a few will cause the cross-referenced caption and all of the text after to jump below the figure that I'm cross referencing and, in turn, deletes my original figure caption. I can't figure out what is causing this, the only difference between the cross-references that do work and those that don't is the appearance of a \ before the figureX-X:Name in the Cross-reference window. But I have formatting symbols showing and there is no mark before the Figure Caption in the text and I can't figure out if I need to delete anything or not. I've attached a snapshot of the \ I referred to above. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

I'd suggest checking the problem citations. There's evidently something extraneous that's been picked up as part of those citations.
