I have a document with 10 chapters. Each chapter is a separate Word file.
I generated a TOC by using the "s" switch in the TOC field code: { TOC \o "1-3" \h \z \u \s chapter } and the "RD" field: { RD 01Chapter1.docx \f }, { RD 02Chapter2.docx \f }, etc. I want to display the chapter number before the page number for the entries in the TOC, like this: Reservoir Rock Properties ..... 1-1 Data Transmission .............. 2-3 I am using MS Word 2010 running on Window 7. The discussions I have read for adding chapter numbers before the page numbers seem to deal with TOCs that are generated from a single Word file containing multiple chapters, not a TOC that is generated from multiple Word files. In any event, I would appreciate any suggestions. |
