I want to number my table captions by heading level based on where they are in the document. So, some tables are under a heading level 2, some under a level 3, etc. If I change the caption style to include a heading level 2 prefix, it changes all captions (so those under heading 3 would change from 5.1.1-1 to 5.1.-1, for example). How do I change one caption at a time or unlink them so altering the properties of one doesn't change them all? |

Unless you use the 'new label' option to create a caption label for each heading level, you can't have them display different levels.
