Why can't I see mine and the other user name in the balloons for Track Changes when I print but I can see them on the print screen?

The printouts only show the initials, just like older versions of Word. You can see this if you look at the document in Print Preview (Ctrl+F2).

No, it only shows the comments with the color around the balloon of the change in the preview - there are no initials or names. I would be happy with initials if that would show up.

OK, that's unexpected. Could you post a screen shot?

Also, does this happen with a particular document, only, or does it happen with any document you create?

I've attached two examples.

This happens to any documents that have tracked changes. On the actual document you can see each users name and on the preview/print out its just the changes with no initials, etc.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. For markup balloons, the author name isn't shown or printed; this is by design (I missed it because I personally prefer to display markup inline). In comment balloons, the initials will print.

Correct, in the comment balloons the full name is shown. I need initials/name of the user who made the change, just not color. Is that possible at all?
