I need help with this template. First how do I paste a picture into the right hand corner? Every time I paste it is on the left and it doesn't move. It doesn't paste in like a pic with the circles/handles that you can move it just pastes in...
Also how do I adjust those blue lines? (Where are they - they aren't drawings - I want to change the color and how much space between them) Finally, how do I fix the bottom line - I just want the blue line and I want the statement ("company does and seeks.." to go across the bottom all the way on the bottom) and it shouldn't be in two columns but text across the bottom. |

Fist of all, you need to display hidden characters (the paragraph symbol in the Home tab toggles them on and off) so that you can see that there are section and column breaks on the page causing your problems.
Your image is a table; at least the top part with the columns is. I would format the entire page more simply, but would have to know what else has to happen on it. Is this a reformatting task you have been assigned, which someone else created? Best, Ulodesk |

In my view, yes. One way would be to use a table for the layout and place the existing small table in one cell (though I'm not generally fond of tables in tables). In any case, you don't need all the breaks the person created; a table is a much easier way to create two columns for many such uses.
Here's the start of an approach. Table borders can be invisible as you choose. (Borders/None) |

When you insert a graphic, the default behavior is what is called "in-line", which means that nothing will wrap around it.
If you place it in a table cell and select the image, Ctrl+R will align it to the right. You can adjust internal cell margins through Table Properties/Cell/Options. Uncheck "Same as the whole table" first. If you place it outside a table, the same should work. The command is simply paragraph alignment. However, if you have text directly across from it, you can either change text wrapping of the image to Square and then adjust by hand or with the Position tab of the Layout Options dialogue, or use a tab to align it with in-line. The picture will not be in a table. It will be across from the date. How do I change the "text wrapping" - where do I change that ? on the picture or the date?

Right-click the picture and select Wrap Text, then More Layout options.
RE: text: display hidden characters. The arrow in front of the text you want at right is a tab. Click in the ruler at top (View/Rulers) where you want the tab to be. You can then drag it if you want it adjusted. I would look up Tabs in help; there are different types and they can be very helpful. Ulodesk |

I am trying to make the top and bottom of table appear in blue (with rest of lines not showing). When I select on the table where the four arrows are and the whole table is highlighted and then right click and go into borders and shading -- and I select a blue color -- and press okay - it does not change the color from black.

When you have custom borders, e.g., just top and bottom, after changing the color, double-click on each of the two icons for the borders at right. You can also double-click on the central diagram's borders, but it's easier to get the wrong border this way.

Please see attached.
I cannot change the line (or is it a border) under the word title; buy Similarly in the table below I cannot change the borders to a blue.. I keep clicking on that arrow on the left hand side but it does not work... |

I selected the table, changed border to All and made them blue. you can remove those you don't wish to display.
The line under Buy is a border: hover your cursor carefully over it and you'll see it change to the border cursor, a pair of horizontal lines. You didn't say how you wanted to change it. Display hidden characters, place your cursor before Title, and drag to select that line and the empty paragraph below it. Open borders: nothing shows. I don't know why, but if you select All and then None, it will then disappear. You can then replace it and fashion it as you like. |

By the way, in the attachment with this, I replaced your multiple tabs with a single Right tab, which you have to look carefully for in the ruler, at right, when your cursor is in the line affected.

1) How do I get the line on top where there's that single tab now to be equal in length to the line below title;buy?
2) I also can't seem to select the border under title buy - I see when the cursor goes to that horizontal double line, but if I right click - there's no option to change the border? |
