Default Pasting pic on right hand side and adjusting bottom text from column to across

I need help with this template. First how do I paste a picture into the right hand corner? Every time I paste it is on the left and it doesn't move. It doesn't paste in like a pic with the circles/handles that you can move it just pastes in...
Also how do I adjust those blue lines? (Where are they - they aren't drawings - I want to change the color and how much space between them)
Finally, how do I fix the bottom line - I just want the blue line and I want the statement ("company does and seeks.." to go across the bottom all the way on the bottom) and it shouldn't be in two columns but text across the bottom.

Fist of all, you need to display hidden characters (the paragraph symbol in the Home tab toggles them on and off) so that you can see that there are section and column breaks on the page causing your problems.

Your image is a table; at least the top part with the columns is.

I would format the entire page more simply, but would have to know what else has to happen on it. Is this a reformatting task you have been assigned, which someone else created?

Best,
Ulodesk

Basically someone else created this and I wanted to reformat it. But ideally, I would start from scratch - I just don't know word that well. Would it be easier to start from scratch? I couldn't get anything to paste where I wanted it to go.

In my view, yes. One way would be to use a table for the layout and place the existing small table in one cell (though I'm not generally fond of tables in tables). In any case, you don't need all the breaks the person created; a table is a much easier way to create two columns for many such uses.

Here's the start of an approach. Table borders can be invisible as you choose. (Borders/None)

When I try to paste in the attached graphic it doesn't seem to let me move it to the right - I"d like this graphic on the right. I have been using insert picture. Thank you.

Default Graphic

When you insert a graphic, the default behavior is what is called "in-line", which means that nothing will wrap around it.

If you place it in a table cell and select the image, Ctrl+R will align it to the right. You can adjust internal cell margins through Table Properties/Cell/Options. Uncheck "Same as the whole table" first.

If you place it outside a table, the same should work. The command is simply paragraph alignment. However, if you have text directly across from it, you can either change text wrapping of the image to Square and then adjust by hand or with the Position tab of the Layout Options dialogue, or use a tab to align it with in-line.

Best,
Ulodesk

Default Text wrapping

The picture will not be in a table. It will be across from the date. How do I change the "text wrapping" - where do I change that ? on the picture or the date?

Default moving text around

Also - where it says return potential X% -- how do I get the word equity research to be on the right hand side?

The line above Buy is a line (shape). You need to move your cursor around these various items and watch what happens. If you click on the line, you'll see the corners. Or right click and format it's length in the dialogue.

You can adjust tabs, as I said above, by dragging the symbol in the ruler. Or open the Paragraph dialogue and press the Tabs button at bottom to open the tabs dialogue. Clear the one that's bothering you and Set a new one.

-- I can't seem to change the color of the line under "title;buy" to blue?

Hope this does it. Remove any table borders you choose. I change color the blue you had chosen for the upper underline and set all to 3/4 pt weight.

Default Border line lengthen

-- How do I lengthen the line under Title; Buy?
-- Not sure if word can do this or I need another program - is there anyway for me to "color" the logo the picture I pasted in on the top right hand side - color it blue?

The picture coloring requires another program. The Title line is a border. Place cursor in paragraph and look up in the ruler above end of border. Move little whlte triangle.
