I often have to copy words from one document and put them into quotes in another, but every time I copy, the space before the word is picked up, so I get this when I paste:
' Issuer' How do I set the default so no space is picked up, and I don't have to keep removing the space after the opening quotes after pasting? Thanks |

I don't see that behaviour, and I don't know of a setting to change it.
You can, however, end up with a space after the final word being included; those can be eliminated by holding down the Shift key and pressing the Left Arrow before copying. Conversely, when pasting immediately after some existing content, Word will ensure there is a space between what's already there and what gets pasted.

Thanks again, macropod. I managed to find something about this myself after a trawl on the internet. It's not perfect but it's good enough to deactivate the opening space: Options > Advanced and untick 'Use smart cut and paste'
