Default Regarding initial configuration in MS Office

Hi,
I am using a Dell 1454 laptop with Windows Vista installed on it. My problem is that every time I start any software from MS office, It starts the initial configuration.This is very irritating as it does so for every file.What could be the problem?

Thanx

Default Keeps configuring possible solution

I had the same problem. Had Office XP and new installed Office 2007 Enterprise. Resolved the problem in this way.

1. I uninstall Office XP (don't know if this is necessary, but I went and did it)
2. Opened microsoft word (waiting for the configuring message to end)
3. Click on office button (upper left corner), pressed word options button
4. Click resources button, then run microsoft office diagnostics

Once the diagnostics ran, it corrected the problem.

Hope this works for you;
