Yeah, OK file location can be an issue. It does make it much easier if all the returned documents are in one location. In fact, practically speaking, doing it any other way is nuts.
If you have the answers (the bookmarks to be used) document open, you could use a DIR function to loop through all the returned files in a folder. The given folder does not have to be hard-coded; it could easily be taken in as variable user input. |

Fumei,
Thank you so much for your help. With your example and a large number of google searches to resolve some issues I was having with directories, files not being in place and checking strings, I was able to finish up. I have the code done for all 94 questions and it is working wonderfully. You were a life saver. Thanks again, Dave |

Fumei,
I am revisiting this project and attempting to change out the legacy form field check boxes to grouped radio buttons. I'm having issues checking the status of the radio buttons from the template. In the code that you helped me get working I know we used dim to declare docFF as FormFields and then used Set to point docFF to the survey documents answers. How would I go about doing the same thing with Radio/Option buttons? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave |

Sorry, but I am on the road right now and will be for a few weeks, so I am working from a tablet. Let's just say it has its limitations.
Yes you can work lkgic using radio buttons, but it is kind of like starting over. What KIND of buttons. Are they content controls, lehacy buttons (but still formfields), ActiveX buttons??? Are you working ba kwards with existing document files, or are you talking about building up a new projects. If the latter I strongly suggest you follow Charles suggestion....use a userform. You have much better control, both visually as a presentation to the userform, and a logic vehicle to what you want to achieve. |
