Hi There,
I have a long thesis document with lots of cross-referenced figures, tables and headers (and also EndNote cite-while-you-write citations--hopefully the answer for these will be the same as for the others). If I want to look at the figure I'm cross-referencing in the text, I simply click on the cross-reference (i.e. on "Figure 3.1" when I'm saying "see data shown in Figure 3.1") and it takes me there. But how do I get back!? This can be a real pain if I accidentally click on a cross-reference that's a hundred pages earlier than the cross-reference itself. Sometimes I can simply scroll back to it, but often I have to spend a minute or two finding my way back. Is there a simple keyboard shortcut that can do this for me--i.e. basically navigate back to the original cross-reference? I've tried searching for an answer without luck. Many thanks, Madasafish |

Shift+F5 (the F5 key above the main keyboard) will do it. It will also take you to the last place you edited in the document before closing it, when you open it again, if it's the first thing you do.
