Could you give us a bit more detail? I'm assuming that 2013 behaves like earlier vesions and gives you tables where the columns are the same width. If you also want the row height to match the width, this is where I gracefully stand back and let the experts take over :-}

I hardy ever work in Word except to write a letter. Yesterday I tried to make a form of twelve blocks with a table. I clicked insert table and draged three squares across and four down. That gave me 12 blocks, but very tiny. I was able to drag the bottom row down and then the second row and the top row, but they were all different size. I couldn't find a grid or anywhere to see what the height was.

You can make the table cells any size you wish and fit to the page however you want. Once you insert the table (i.e., three cells across by four cells down), place your cursor in the center of the table and:

(1) "Right-click". A menu will appear, then click on "Table Properties" for the Table Properties menu to appear. Adjust the size of all cells to your specifications via the Row/Column/Cell tabs, or:
(2) "Left-click". From the ribbon across the top of the screen, click on the "Layout" ribbon. Toward the center of the Layout ribbon, adjust each cell to the size you desire (or, highlight the whole table to adjust all cells at the same time) using the Height & Width tabs .

Hope this helps...
