You can make the table cells any size you wish and fit to the page however you want. Once you insert the table (i.e., three cells across by four cells down), place your cursor in the center of the table and:

(1) "Right-click". A menu will appear, then click on "Table Properties" for the Table Properties menu to appear. Adjust the size of all cells to your specifications via the Row/Column/Cell tabs, or:
(2) "Left-click". From the ribbon across the top of the screen, click on the "Layout" ribbon. Toward the center of the Layout ribbon, adjust each cell to the size you desire (or, highlight the whole table to adjust all cells at the same time) using the Height & Width tabs .
