Default need help with tent-style place cards

I have some Wilton place cards for guests at a wedding reception but the Wilton template (a Word document) doesn't accommodate what I want to print. I actually thought I had Publisher but, alas, it didn't come with this version of Office 2010.

Individual place cards are 3.75 w x 1.75 h when folded and appear 6 per page (2 columns of 3) on standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper with 0.5 inch borders. The printable area on the front of each 'tent' is 3.25 w x 1.25 h. I want to place a graphic (measuring 0.5 w x 1.25 h) at the left edge of the printable area and 2 rows of centered text in the area to the right of the graphic.

I started out with a 2 x 6 table and thought I could leave the 'cells' that would print on the back of each tent empty and add a text box to those that will print on the front of each tent. It almost works, but I can't figure out how to place the graphic in the text box and still be able to print 2 rows of text to the right of it.

I published a 28-page PTA newsletter with Word 5.0 back in the 90s so this should be a piece of [wedding] cake with Word 2010! What am I missing?

Thanks for any help you can offer!
