Hi everyone,
I'm trying to do a find and replace with footnote numbers, changing the white space after the note number to a tab space. I have checked the wildcards box, and I am using this: Find: ^2 {1,} Replace: ^2^t The tab space replaces correctly, but in the process, the footnote number turns into a square. (Please see the attached image for a clear view of the problem.) Is there a way to do this find and replace without this problem? I am using Word 2013 on Windows 8 64 bit. Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can provide! ![]() |
