I did not know about Adjust List Indents. I've redone the Dash styles (and saved the document ast RTF, then opened and repaired). For now they seem to be holding. I did both the Adjust List Indents and Update to Match Selection. Thanks very much for the tip.
Since my company installed 2010, I have had numerous issues with corruption. I think I may have to routinely save as RTF and paste into fresh documents. It's beginning to remind me of pre-patch Word 97. Thanks again for the help.
