Question Page breaks and page numbering

Hello Everyone.

I hope someone can help me with this

Task: Create a document with 2 sections, a blank page between the 2 sections and page numbering of each section should start from 1.

What I did:
1. Create one document with 3 pages (without using page breaks)

2. On the third page, insert a section break Page Layout (3rd tab) -> page break -> odd page break
Add another 3 pages again without using page breaks

Result:
Number of pages 1,2,3 then a section break and again pages 5,6,7
MS Word Preview: There is a blank page “4th page” between pages 3 and 5
Status bar would show Page: 7 of 7

3. In the footer add “page number”
MS Word Preview: pages 1,2,3 a blank page then again numbers 5,6,7

4. In the footer of the 5th page, click on the button “page numbers” then “Format page numbers”.

In the Format page numbers windows that opens select “start from” and add number 1

Result:
Total of 6 pages (before it was 7)
First section – 3 pages and in the footer Page numbering 1, 2, 3
Second section – 3 pages and in the footer Page numbering 1, 2, 3
but NO blank page between the 2 sections!! (this is the problem)
because when printed on a printer set to “print on both edges” the 4th page (first page in section 2, footer 1) is printed behind the 3rd page (last page in section 1, footer 3)

I have attached my document.

Tried with MS word 2003, 2007, 2010 and the result is always the same.

Thank you.

To ensure that Word correctly creates "filler" pages, select "Mirror margins" and/or "Different odd and even" in the Page Setup dialog box (which you can display by double-clicking the vertical ruler).

Besides, it is not possible to have any pages BETWEEN sections. All pages are in some section, or other.

Indeed. Even a document without section breaks contains a single section (whose properties are stored in the final paragraph mark of the document).
