When I search for words in my Word 2007 DOCX file, Word doesn't find words that are definitely there. I think this is because the "Format" is "Outline" (that is, the Find dialog says "Format: Outline".) When I search it just returns "word has finished searching the document. The search item was not found."
How do I get out of this "Outline" format? (Note: Occasionally, I'll open a DOCX file and Find will not say "Format: Outline" and search will be fine. But usually it's in that "Outline" mode and I can't get out of it.) |

Click on the More>> button in the bottom left.
Then all the way at the bottom, click No Formatting. Mine ALWAYS seems to be doing this and it's frustrating. No solutions so far. Please let me know if you found something to make it stop. Thank you. |
