![]() I have a large document with 20-odd different chapters, each with their own TOCs separated by using bookmarks. I will (eventually) export the document as a PDF, bring it into Acrobat Pro and add many more documents in the appropriate places, thus increasing the total number of pages. Prior to exporting the document I need many of the TOCs to start on different page numbers, say, chapter 4 to start the page numbering in the TOC on page 560 for example, Chapter 8 on page 1100 etc. Other chapters will need to start from much higher page numbering. I was hoping I could use the TOC Switches to do this, but can't see one that will do what I want. For the record, I have page numbering turned off in Word, it's just the TOCs that are currently numbered (I will use the page numbering in Acrobat Pro). Cheers. |

To restart the page numbering in the middle of a document, you must add a section break and then make changes in the Page Number Format dialog box (for each section). You can access the dialog box via Insert tab | Page Number | Format Page Numbers. See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...atter_2007.htm.
