Default Is one master template for multiple templates possible?

Hi folks,

In Word 2010 I have created a whole bunch of templates (.dotm). All the documents must have the same styles and formatting. Is there a way to create a single master template that all the other templates pick up? If i make changes to the master styles I want the changes to cascade into the other templates (I don't want the hassle of having to manually attach an updated master template to each document then update styles then save back as a template again.)

I know nothing about style sheets, is this a solution perhaps?
Maybe a macro to update the templates is possible, but I wouldn't know where to start with that.

Any good ideas out there?
