Perhaps if you extended your search with Paul's instructions you would find the "expanded character" spacing in the Advanced tab of the Font menu (right-click on the selected 'style' / Modify / Format / Font / Advanced Tab / Character Spacing / Spacing / Expanded).

I certainly did not understand your rambling comments..... but, that is a story for another day...
