I need some help embedding fonts in a document. I am submitting a few documents that require embedded fonts, and I am having trouble figuring out how to get this to work.
I accessed the Save feature under options, and checked 'Embed Fonts', but this still isn't working. Any help would be appreciated. ![]() |

Hi Cdixon,
Whether a particular font can be embedded depends on the licensing terms for that font. Some fonts are more restricted in this regard than others.

According to my System Info, TNR has an embedding status of 'editable'. So you should be able to embed it.
When a font can have one of four levels of embedding compatibility: • Embeddable. Embeds in the file and instals itself on the target system if not already present. • Editable. Embeds in the file, which can be edited, but does not install on the target system. • Print and Preview. Embeds in the file, which cannot be edited, and does not install on the target system. • Not Embeddable. The font cannot be embedded in a file. That said, since TNR is so widely available, I can't see why anyone would require its embedding. The other question, of course is how do you know "this still isn't working"? The only indication you might see on a system that has that font installed is a slight increase in the file size.
