Default Why does Word lock up when copy & paste from internet site?

I've been on allrecipes.com trying to copy and paste into a receipe template (yes even with styles) but Word locks up when I get to the "directions" part. It also puts a real weird character style in my list of styles. Anybody know why this is? See that bizarre style word is calling itxtrst...?
