I have MS Office/ Word 2007 in my office PC. A couple of weeks ago our client sent a .zip file inside which 38 .docx files were stored. I opened that .zip file and extracted all those .docx files. I checked those files, all were good. But yesterday when I was opening one of the file from those I couldn't do so. I was stopped by an error. I thought may be there is a problem with that file particular only. But when I checked all of them one by one the same thing (called error) appeared. Why this is happening to me?
Is there any way to open those files? Some are saying they gone corrupted. Are they right? Please help me otherwise my boss will **** me.

Any chance they are on a memory stick or other removable medium?

I know that using Word with removable media causes corruption.

Have you tried going back to the original zip file and extracting again?

What was the exact error message?

Which removable media are you talking about? I didn't discuss any removable media over there, or did I?
By the way, I'm getting this "Downloaded .docx files are corrupted".
And as my bad luck doesn't allow me to re-extract the ZIP file as I already deleted.

Hey, the website linked by lhel is really good. He/she doesn't know about any software tool there so he/she recommended you the whole website. But I can recommend you MS Word Docx recovery tool of SysInfoTools. I've read about it so much and also used its demo version. It works great. Go for it.

Great. I can now easily open my .docx files. And the credit goes to SysInfoTools MS Docx File Recovery. I just love it. It solved my problem. My corrupt .docx files are now fully repaired.
