I need to insert page numbers in the footer that look like Section 1.0 Page 1 Section 1.0 Page 2 then Section 1.1 Page 1 Section 1.2 Page 2 etc There is a master TOC at the begining that only has the 1.0 heading styles Then there are Tables of Content for each Section 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 etc 1.0 Introduction...........1 ***** The TOC must be hyperlinked so 1.1 uiwqiuhd................2 you can jump to the page Chapter number does 1.1-1 in the footer and TOC but will not allow me to insert Page instead of the dash Can this custom numbering be done? ![]() Any detailed help would be appreciated ![]() or a location on line where the answer is |

If you want the "1.1-1" format in the TOC, then there is nothing you can do to get "Page" in there.
On the other hand, if you are fine with the page number alone (as suggested by your example), then you can manually add "Page" in the footer. You'd also have to insert a STYLEREF field pointing to the heading text and another STYLEREF field pointing to the heading number (Insert tab | Quick Parts | Field).
