Default Printing Issue - What is see in preview is not what actually prints - PLEASE HELP!!!

I am putting together a trifold brochure on 11x17 paper. I have a picture as a backdrop and then have added 3 text boxes in front with information related to the forum/conference. The text boxes have a transparency so that you are able to see the picture in the background but pops out enough to make out the print in the text box. When I go to print preview, I see everything as it was meant to be, but when I print, I only get the picture - no text boxes. Now I've gone to the picture and sent it to the back and gone to each box and brought it forward, but still no luck. Any ideas what is wrong?
