Hi Charles,
Unless the blocked templates are Add-ins, for which the 'Require Application Add-ins to be signed by Trusted Publisher' setting might be an issue, I can't see why there should be an issue. I have found some references to people having problems with this in Word 2010, though, whereas they didn't with Word 2007.
