When I begin to edit a raw document, a converted ebook for example, I like to apply a customized Normal Style before I begin cleaning it up. The italic words in the document stay italicized, but not when the whole paragraph is italics. When the paragraph is all italics, it changes it to whatever is set in the Style. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Mostly I start editing with <ctrl>-a and manually format the text so everything is at my default. But after I start changing chapter headings and such, it's much easier to make changes if everything is in a Style. |
