Hello,
I have a situation where the word "page settings", specifically the tray to print to is overriding the printer settings. I know word is designed to override the printer settings. I need to find a way to either disable this option or have the printer override all word settings. I have hundreds of documents that need to print to specific trays and modifying every single document within word isn't an option. Does anyone know of way to do this? Thank you. |

Hi jgaffney,
Ultimately, you will have to modify the documents. However, that process can be automated via a Document_Open sub in Word's Normal template, or be creating a Class Module that uses the DocumentBeforePrint event in Word's Normal template. Depending on how the sub is coded, the changed setup could be saved or discarded when the document concerned is closed.
