Default macros disabled; local files not trusted

I've been working with (about 300) files in Word, using a very simple macro to change the page layout. Just the page size and margins.

Today when I open a document (.docx) for editing I get macro warnings and no option to continue.

I've googled for this and followed some suggestiuons - so

In trust centre all macros are enabled.

The templates and documents are in locations marked as trusted

If I try to run the macro I get "the macros in this project are disabled"

Grateful for any help
