You don't need a macro to apply styles relative to the numbering and indentation.
Add a button to your Quick Access Toolbar - the one you want is called AutoFormat... You can then click that button and it will open a dialog which will allow you to style all the levels as List, List 2... Once the styles are applied via this function, you can modify the style attributes to suit your preferred look.
