I doubt you want macros for this.
Explore two Word features:
You can combine these if you want including using the Buliding Blocks Gallery Content Control. A building block/AutoText entry can be attached to a keyboard shortcut.

You can use a SEQuence Field in such an entry to control your numbering.

You may want to look at Word for Wordperfect Users.
