I doubt you want macros for this.
Explore two Word features:

• AutoText / Building Blocks Automated Boilerplate Using Microsoft Word
• Content Controls Word Content Controls by Greg Maxey

You can combine these if you want including using the Buliding Blocks Gallery Content Control. A building block/AutoText entry can be attached to a keyboard shortcut.

You can use a SEQuence Field in such an entry to control your numbering.
