Point taken. I guess I was a bit eager to get my question answered.  @fumei Believe it or not, I have used Word a lot but never used templates. I'll have to look into that. Is it not possible to connect to a database engine through VBA and implement a simple document management system? This way we could still get to benefit from the word processing power of Word and have the ability to store/retrieve our documents... Thank you.
