![]() Charts in Word rely on functionality from Excel - a Word table can't be used directly. After creating the chart based on the generic table, you can double- click on it and paste your table data into the underlying Excel worksheet.

Thanks Paul.
I knew about d/clicking and pasting it into the Excel sheet but I was hoping there was a way for Excel to automatically paste or pull the data from the Word table directly. Seems to me that the two programs should work together better than having an extra copy / paste step. Even If I had to adjust the excel chart after it populated directly from word .... but I guess it can't more's the pity. Got to love M/soft. |
