ProjectPlanner is on a distinguished road
Default

Make your Lorry Hire Task a Hammock.

To create a hammock, copy the start date of the first Task that uses the equipment and use Paste Special >> Paste Link, to paste in the start date field of the Lorry Hire Task.

Similarly, copy the finish date of the last Task that uses the equipment and use Paste Special >> Paste Link, to paste in the finish date field of the Lorry Hire Task.

Your Lorry Hire Task should now be dynamically linked to equipment use and a change in equipment use Tasks duration will also change Lorry Hire duration. You can confirm Lorry Hire is dynamically linked as there should be a small black triangle at the bottom right corner of the Start & Finish dates.
