Hide Complete, display late, etc.
Hello,
I'm new to Project and I'm finding it extremely cumbersome. It's not as friendly as Excel, etc. I'm only using Project to track tasks and dates. I'm not using it for costing, etc. My Wants: 1. I would like to have empty rows separating my parent tasks. 2. I want to hide completed tasks, but only when the parent task is at 100%. I don't want to hide sub-tasks. 3. I want to be notified of tasks that are late or due soon. My findings: 1. I had empty rows, but any type of Filter eliminated the empty rows. 2. I've lost my empty rows (I had them but deleted them). Now, any new row I add comes with a 0% in the "% Completed" column. I just want a separator, but now I have a sub-task associated with the parent task. 3. If I Filter out 100% completed, then Highlight Backlog, all of the filtered data comes back into view. Highlighting undoes my filter. Does someone out there speak Project? Do I have any hope? Should I just abandon Project now in favor of something more logical? Is there something more logical?? Help please! Thanks, -j |
