In my day to day, we work under a monthly release schedule. So, each month, a certain number of tasks are declared as completed. But I don't want to delete them in my MSP plan because of historical performance tracking.
So I created a column "Status" with an possible values of blank and "Archived". Therefore, each month, instead of deleting the completed tasks, I set their "Status" to "Archived". I also created a filter to exclude the tasks set to Archived and went into the view organizer to add this filter to the Default Gantt chart view. Problem: the Gantt chart view auto retores itself to the original setting without my filter. I seem to not be able to have the filter attached to it permanently. Any solution? Thanks |
