I'm hoping there is a way to do this without creating individual tasks.



Scenario:

• Project 1: Test Cycle task = 2/10 - 2/14
• Project 2: Test Cycle task = 2/17 - 2/28
• Resource 1: Assigned to both projects

This week this resource needs to be allocated 100% to Project 1, 0% to Project 2. Starting next week this resource needs to be allocated 50/50 to each project. Is there a way to set this up without having to go in each week and manually change the allocations on the test cycle task?

Given your dates it looks like there is no overlap.

But assuming the task in Project 1 was longer - the answer is no. Resource Leveling could stop Project 1 task - allow Project 2 to occur and then resume Project 1. But it cannot split a resource's time between multiple tasks.

You'd need to edit the work per week in the Task Usage or Resource Usage view.
