Is your status date set correctly to align with the end of the completed task? I see what you report only if I have a completed task (either ahead of schedule or before schedule) if the status date is before the completion date of the task.
For example: 5 day duration task one resource assigned at $1 per hour. 40 hours of work - $40 baseline cost. I mark the task 100% complete BUT my status date is Wednesday. My BCWP is only $24. I should not have progress through Friday if today is only Wednesday. Another scenario: 5 day duration task 40 hours of work baseline cost = $40. It is Wednesday I have recorded 24 hours of Actual Work but I set the remaining work to zero. The task is complete - my status date is Wednesday and the BCWP is $40 even though the baseline finish for the task is not until Friday. I hope this helps. |
