Hi Rob,

If the task is only 3 hours in duration, then it can start as late as 2:00 pm assuming a 5:00 pm finish date -- create an additional task calendar where the only working time allowed is from 7:59 am to 1:59 pm.

There is no automatic way to have Project not split a task over non-working time.
