Hi guys, I need some urgent help. It's 11:30am here, and my assignments due in tomorrow at 12pm.



It's a 20,000 word report, and I spent all day working on the last 1000 words of it, and spend many hours editing the whole report.

However, my friend emailed me the report (my group member) as an attachment in an email. I then opened the document directly from the attachment, and never clicked 'save as' to my computer. As I was editing it I would constantly hit 'ctrl s' to save it, and there were no errors, then once I had finished it I closed the document without and error or popups.

A few minutes later I went to reopen the document, but couldn't find it saved anywhere on my computer. I searched my entire C disk for .docx files and it isn't there.

Can anyone help me on whether this document is recoverable? I think that MS word 07 was trying to save it to the email server when I hit 'ctrl s' .. I don't know why word would be that stupid and not save any local copies .. please help, I've spent too much time to lose it all and don't want to pull an all nighter trying to edit my report from scratch.
