![]() Hi there, I hope someone can help as it's driving me crazy. We have staff that type up their own powerpoint presentations and when something doesn't fit they alter that particular slide's text box measurements so they can fit what they want onto it Or they have ripped slides from older presentations that were formatted and laid out differently. Using the side master doesn't work, it does for some things, but I think it doesn't update the slides they have ripped from older presentations. I recently heard that macros is a useful tool for proofing etc. Does anyone know if you can set up a macro to correct multiple text boxes position and size within a presentation. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

You need to clarify what you mean by "TextBoxes"
Many people refer to Text Placeholders (The ones thats ay say "Click to Add ...") as TextBoxes which they are not. TextBoxes are added from Insert > TextBox and behave totally differently. If you mean Text Placeholders it would be fairly easy to write a macro that adjusts the position back to a standard setting To give you an idea open the attached and View > Run Macro > chex should fix the position of the messed up placeholders. |

Thank you so much John! That was exactly what I was after.
![]() Is there somewhere you suggest that gives novices a clear understanding of how to write scripts like that? |
