Selecting the optimum graphics card fro a new laptop
Hi,
I plan to use Windows PowerPoint 2016 presenter mode with either Win 7 or Win 10 to display shows simultaneously on both my laptop and an LCD projector. Presentations will include MP4 video files as well as other video formats. When I purchase a new laptop, what graphics card specifications should I look for to get minimum lag and smooth playback at the highest resolution? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

graphics cards I'm running and like
I run 4k PowerPoint shows on my MacBook Pro Retina machines, bootcamped to Windows10 and Office365. One has an AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB of Graphics memory. I have a similar machine with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M, also with 2GB of graphics memory. The AMD is newer but has the same 2.5 Ghz clock speed. I find animations and video smoother on the AMD card. I'm also about to buy new PC laptops, currently looking at anything with the new standard (!?!?) 8GB of video memory. Gamer's laptops are a good place to start looking.
