Complete PP noob, so hopefully this is a simple settings fix.
Heres a screencap of the problem http://s9.postimg.org/4kigykl5r/Picture_1.png I made a new PP doc, created a Master page, added a custom background, added and positioned text boxes for headline and body copy, and choose font and color (dark blue). When I add new slide, everything seems to be right - the BG, the text box positioning. I'm ready to add the text & make my presentation. But when i select the text box, a dark blue rectangle appears covering (almost) the ENTIRE selected box — so i can't see whats being typed. I can see the cursor there and can paste in text. When I click off the text box, the blue rect. goes away, the text pasted in is there and the slide looks fine, but whenever the text box is selected, a rectangle appears covering all content and I can't see the type to edit it. It does this on both text boxes, on all new slides. WTF? What gives? |

This used to happen in the PC version 2003
It is basically because PPT adjusts the color to contrast with background but because you have changed it (probably not in the color scheme) it gets it wrong. See here http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00285_Text_..._I_edit_it.htm |
