Hi,
Im working on a competition submission and due to the restrictions they place on us, we are limited to a certain number of slides, but we are allowed to do as much with each slide as we want as long as the full presentation is only 6 min long. So, I have a lot of overlapping text that comes in at different times on each slide. The problem is, it becomes very difficult to edit anything because you cant select the text box that you want to without moving everything else away and then back. Is there a way to only show things (in a way that i could edit them) that are visible at any given time on a slide? Like moving a time slider back and forth for easy editing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ![]() |

The selection pane is used to hide/show elements on the slide.
Home Tab > Editing Group (on the right) > Select > Selection Pane |

Shortcut is Alt-F10. I use this all the time. I have a slide with over 300 objects on it, and I'm using animations, along with macros for animations.
If you have a LOT of animations, I found it convenient to group them, and give that group a meaningful name. I also have little tiny rectangles off-screen with a name similar to that group, only with ">----- Group Name -------<". Keep this label with the group and shrink the group down, which makes it easier to pick out things. |

The other thing that you'll need is Shift-F10. That opens up the little menu with "Group", "Move Forward", Move Back", etc. However, with a lot of objects, I use the selection screen and the up/down arrows there to move things forward and aft.
