Default Is it possible for a graphic to remain consistant and unaffected by slide transitions

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have an object (graphic/text) remain in the same position throughout an entire presentation- unaffected by slide transitions. I suppose it would be like it is on it's own layer.

I basically want to have a title and it's background remain consistant so that it doesn't appear to be loading each time there is a transition to a new slide.

Thank you very much in advance.

If you place the static objects on the master and then use the dynamic transitions in 2010 it should do this for you.

Thank you very much, John Wilson , that worked, but the content (which is now a text box over a shape) does not show ontop of the following slides. Do you know if there is a way to make this happen without cropping images on the following slides?
