2010 uses the DirectShow dll to play video. The problem is that other third party apps can also use / abuse Direct Show and cause it to fail in PowerPoint.
It's not possible to say which app might be doing this but I would suspect Video / image Converters DVD writers Graphics editors especially ones that come free with your PC. Try to stop them running at start up and see if that works. |
