Ok, so I created a PowerPoint presentation, I utilized the Windows media player object, and used the URL to be the name of the video. I keep all the videos in the same folder as the presentation.
Working: -Manually Opening the PowerPoint show, everything works fine. -Going to RUN, entering the path of the PowerPoint file, everything plays fine after opening. NOT Working: -If I package everything in winrar archive and write a script to open the file after extraction, it opens the PowerPoint show, but the video quickly flashes opening media, and nothing plays. -If I create a batch file, and say Start and the name of the PowerPoint, it opens the powerpoint, and the video doesnt play. I could have sworn this worked before. Did Microsoft impose some new security that keeps this from working now? I want to package a file that an end user can just double-click and everything plays and works without any hassle for them. Thanks for the help on this! |
