Hello all,
We got a new computer and I'm trying to migrate the .pst file from the old computer to the new, having problems! Here the scoop so far: Old computer had Vista, Outlook 2007 with a 2002 .pst format. New computer has Win 7 and Office 2010. We got the .pst file down to 1.5 GB and compacted it. I exported the file, then pasted into the new computer but when Outlook open it, there's only a few folders and about 5 emails! Contacts and calendar are in tact though. Then I tried to just copy/paste the .pst file with out using the export tool and same results. Should I try to convert the file to the 2007 format? I found a free utility online that does it. Or should I try to repair the pst file first? However it's still working fine on the old computer, it's just when I try to use the .pst file on the new computer that everything is missing. Thanks for any help! Jamie |

I would try running the scanpst tool on a copy of your .pst file on the new machine first. Then run the import wizard.
